Hey Sis, I’m Yanna

Can we talk?

When I started my first business, I had no idea what I was doing. (Okay, sometimes I still don’t, but we can talk about that later.) At first, it was exciting. The late nights, the risks, the ā€œfiguring it out as I goā€ moments. But as my business grew, I realized something: I was drifting further from my old friends.

I had success, but no one to share it with. (Outside of my husband, but sometimes I needed to vent about him too. You’re not judging me, right?) So, I went on a quest to find my girls.

Remember when we were kids? Making friends was easy, just a ā€œWanna be my friend?ā€ and boom. Besties. But now? Damn, this is hard.

I joined every female founder community, spent thousands of dollars, and instead found spaces that were too big, too impersonal, and way too transactional.

Endless webinars. More courses. More distractions. But no real connections. I kept second-guessing myself, starting over, and ending up nowhere. My business stalled, and I still had no friends.

After five years of this cycle, I finally had enough. One night, lying in bed (two weeks after closing my business—don’t feel bad for me, it was time), the idea for Dear Diary Co. hit me like a ton of bricks. I couldn’t sleep until I promised myself I’d try it.

And now? Here we are.
